	Julia Eben Keet Sam Karen At HBD we are passionate, modern, open-minded and dynamic. Headed by CEO Julia Long, our core team's varied experience combine to form a highly competent unit Sam Robertson, Company Secretary Sam joined HBD in April 2008 as the company secretary and as such ensures the proper corporate governance of HBD and its portfolio companies. A qualified attorney, Sam also has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Stellenbosch, specialising in Cost and Management Accounting. Sam completed his articles, and practiced for three years thereafter at Cliffe Dekker Attorneys in Cape Town, specialising in dispute resolution and advising clients on compliance orientated legislative requirements. He thereafter spent a year at Educor, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media24 as the legal, risk and compliance manager and prior to joining HBD, set up a technology company that provides electronic solutions to the retail credit granting industry. Sam was an avid golfer prior to the birth of his daughters Josephine and Charlotte, but remains committed to pursuing his hedonistic ventures into fine wine and food with his beautiful wife Trish.
